Xinjiang’s foreign trade volume increased by 86.4 percent.According to the data of the Urumqi Customs Administration, the volume of foreign trade of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region increased significantly in January-February.In January and February, Xinjiang’s import and export volume reached 44 billion 390 million yuan, an increase of 86.4% over the same period last year. This figure is higher than the national average by 87.2 points and ranked first in the country, while Xinjiang’s export volume increased by 91.6 percent, which is 90.7 points higher than the national average, and import volume increased by 59.8 percent from the average to 62. That’s 7 points higher, Kazakhstan surpassed Kyrgyzstan to become Xinjiang’s biggest trading partner. The volume of Xinjiang’s trade with Kazakhstan increased by 118.9 percent and amounted to 34.9 percent of the value of Xinjiang’s foreign trade, and its share in Turkey’s total foreign trade is 79.2 percent. In addition, the volume of foreign trade towards the European Union increased by 48.5 percent. It was noted that the volume of imports and exports of Xinjiang’s private enterprises increased by 99.7 percent and accounted for 96.2 percent of the region’s total foreign trade.
