After Morocco beat Portugal 1-0, fans gathered on the famous Champs Elysées in Paris to celebrate their victory.
As the celebrations continued, tensions arose between some Moroccan supporters and the police. The police responded to the fans with tear gas.
Salima, 20, who came to celebrate Morocco’s victory, told Anadolu (AA) news agency about police intervention and fireworks being set off by some parties.
Claiming that he had asthma, Salima stated that he was very affected by the gas because he did not have a mask.
On the Champs-Élysées, while the Moroccan fans continued to applaud, the fans of the French team, which reached the semi-finals, also joined in the celebration.
