March 15, China resumes group tours in Europe – WORLD
The circular indicated that the respective airline and hotel booking services would also be restarted. China’s tourism market, which includes tours, was shut down in early 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. As the country streamlines its response to the outbreak, it has launched a pilot program to resume travel to the top 20 countries effective February 6 this year.
On the other hand, with the easing of measures, the number of people entering China has increased significantly. According to the State Department of Immigration, since January 8, 2023, there have been 39,722,000 entry and exit transactions through China’s overseas entry and exit gates. This number corresponds to an increase of 112.4 percent year on year.
