CUHM Annual Meeting ConcludesThe 1st meeting of the 14th National People’s Congress ended today.The 1st meeting of the 14th National People’s Congress (CNPC) ended today. State and CCP leaders, including Chinese President and General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping, attended the closing meeting held at the Grand People’s Congress Hall in the capital city of Beijing. The meeting approved the Government’s Working Report and the draft law on amending the Legislative Law of the People’s Republic of China. The meeting approved the main goals and objectives of China’s economic and social development for 2023 and the policy for and local budgets for 2022. The Performance Report and the draft plan of the central and local budgets for 2023 were also adopted. The meeting approved the working report of the Standing Committee of the Council of People’s Commissars, the working report of the Supreme People’s Court and the working report of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor’s Office.
