China’s first sea-crossing high-speed train line enters testing phaseThe construction of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed train line, China’s first high-speed rail line across the sea, has been completed.It is expected that the line will enter the stage of comprehensive testing in April and will meet all the necessary conditions for commissioning this year. The construction of the line began in September 2017, its length is 277.42 km. It is claimed that the trains to be used on the line can travel at a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is claimed that the line will strengthen the link between the Maritime Silk Road, the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the development of the railway network in the coastal region of southeast China.
